Carlsberg is a global brewer first established in 1847 by J.C. Jacobsen in Copenhagen Denmark. In 1967 Photos Photiades Group was granted the license to produce Carlsberg beer in Cyprus, which made Cyprus the first country to produce Carlsberg outside Denmark. in 2016, the beer brand was the official sponsor for UEFA. Opium Works was appointed to design and develop a website that would serve as a haven for football fans. The aim of the site was to provide an immense experience in the virtuosity of Euro 2016 by showcasing exclusive content, updates and highlights.
Our team implemented sales-driven on-trade and off-trade competitions with codes found on every Carlsberg bottle and can. Campaigns were promoted through social media, Google's display and search engine, generating awareness and increasing traffic to the website. Colour palettes, key visuals and graphics were created in line with Carlsberg's global values.
The website was built on our favourite Drupal 8 Content Management System. This gave our client full access and full ability to manage the variety of content. Drupal is one of the biggest open source systems in the world and is built on principles of collaboration, innovation and customisation.
