The Client
Keravnos BC has long had a strong presence both on and off the court and a deep emotional connection with its supporters. During the Christmas period, the club seeked to communicate more than a seasonal greeting and offer something different to its fans, reflecting the team’s personality and simultaneously reinforcing the sense of unity that defines Keravnos BC as a club.
The Plan
The creative direction centered on reimagining the beloved Christmas tradition of carol singing through the lens of basketball culture. With the participation of musician Giorgos Stamataris, the idea was to implement the serious and the humorous all in one. The concept aimed at embracing relatability and showcasing a more animated version of the players and coaches.
For the purpose of the video, we prepared an original version of ‘Jingle Bells’ specifically written for Keravnos BC, maintaining the rhythm but reworking the lyrics with references to team spirit, fans and basketball puns overall. Also, a scene-by-scene script was prepared to assist with the production, starting off with a calm build-up, and proceeding with comedic chaos, the original carol as a punchline and ending with a heartfelt note.
The Production
The production took place at Palaia Elia Live Stage, offering a minimal setting and aesthetic lighting, while allowing it to feel both cinematic and festive and providing flexibility for intimate moments and wide ensemble shots.
Direction focused on natural movement, expressive reactions and small visual details such as festive accessories, informal interactions and spontaneous moments that enhanced authenticity. Cinematography alternated between wide shots that establish mood and close-ups that capture humour and personality.
The result was a festive campaign piece that humanised the team, celebrated togetherness and delivered a Christmas message that felt genuine, engaging and distinctly Keravnos BC. Additionally, we created a separate video with each player sharing their own wishes for the holiday period, which were shared as Instagram Stories.
