Zorbas is an extremely well-known local brand. Its products, from loaves of bread to confectionery and cooked meals, are part of the everyday life of many Cypriots. First established in 1975, the company is now one of the biggest chains on the island.

the challenge

Our challenge was the Digital Activation of Zorbas Bakeries Christmas campaign. We intented to interact with audience from all over Cyprus both online and offline.

our approach

In order to achieve our plan, we created a digital advent calendar (which was hosted in a micro-site). Like a regular advent calendar, our digital one every day was surprising the users with a gift- for example offers on products, double points for My Bakery Club, Christmas wishes and toys! The users had access to this digital calendar by scanning the QR code, which was placed on the products.

our creative approach

We paid attention to brand-relevant international days/ occasions and tailored content to suit seasons and events, such as the summer period, winter holidays, and so on. Hyper-realistic graphics, creative play on words and puns made visual and content from photo shoots were mainly posted on Facebook, while Boomerangs, stop-motion videos, doodle-type illustrations, and lifestyle visuals were chosen for Instagram.

Why It Worked

Interactivity in advent calendar, everyday advertisements and activities that took place in many of the Zorbas Bakeries, helped increase mobility in our pages and the large number of entries in the competitions we had through Advent Calendar, helped interact with our audience
