The Client
Epic Ltd, is the second largest telecommunications service provider in Cyprus, and is owned by Monaco Telecom. The company’s mobile network covers every corner of the island, with a very large number of subscribers. Besides its established mobile network, Epic also provides fixed telephony, broadband services, and TV solutions.
The Concept
We were tasked with bringing Epic's “Epic Gaming Show” back for its third season, with a renewed vision that would keep the best parts of the previous ones and combine them with new elevated features that would bring the show to a whole new level. This was achieved through close collaboration between Zac, the show’s presenter, and our copywriting and design teams.
The first step toward a successful new season was to share our visions about it, and mold them into a collective approach that would guarantee a cohesive, intriguing, and enjoyable experience for the viewers, as well as everyone involved.
The Execution
To differentiate the show from its previous iterations, we decided to add a new element to its recipe, by introducing beloved local comedian, Champis, who played the role of co-host/guest, forming a very strong duo with Zac. Our team undertook every part of the show, from production and branding, to editing and scriptwriting. We designed the show’s set, giving it a unique flair, and its own identity, through multiple carefully selected props. Both the set and the show’s overall branding were heavily inspired by Epic’s signature black and yellow colours, resulting in a slick, instantly recognisable image, that would keep the brand on top of the viewers’ minds.
Our branding design included the creation of a brand-new logo, branded props for the setting, as well as video transitions, intros and outros that perfectly conveyed the show’s vibe.
Finally, we were responsible for the preparation of each episode’s content. From the general script, to specific segments, discussions, challenges and gameplay sessions, we made it all happen!
The final result is one that pays tribute to the unsung gaming heroes of the present and the past, establishing Epic as the voice of a thriving, young community in Cyprus.
